A Very Helpful Tool For Birding----Binocular

Binoculars are not a necessary component of birding, however, they are actually a really helpful tool. A field guide is definitely going to be a very helpful tool in terms of working through the identification process, and often being able to see the details of the bird you’re looking at.  Binoculars are going to make the difference in being able to pinpoint which details are important for the identification process.

The most effective for getting your binoculars to be of assistance is to keep your eyes locked on your target what you’re trying to observe and bring the binoculars up to meet them. And you’ll find that by doing it this way when the binoculars do reach your eyes they’ll take very minimal movement adjustments to get the objects in your field of view. So once you find a bird, you just need to bring your binoculars up and adjust the central focus wheel to make sure you have got it to focus. Then make sure that the binoculars bring in and dial in the detail and clarity of your objects, so that will be easier to see the flying creatures.

If you just getting started and learning birds for the first time, one of the best ways to learn a bird song is to watch the bird make that song. If you hear a bird that you don’t know and you are able to pinpoint its location using your binoculars to watch it sing its song will put an image in your mind each time you hear that song in the future so the binoculars end up being really helpful to get that image and help you work through the process of identifying by sound even though these are based on sight.

10X42 is the best size in my opinion and it does have a fairly wide field of vision, for example, SVBONY SV202 10x42 binocular may be worth a try.

If you are a beginner at birding, why not start with a binocular?

Happy birding.
