The Traditional festival- Mid- Autumn festival

The Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the traditional Chinese festivals. It falls on the fifteenth day of the eighth lunar month every year. It is also the second largest traditional festival in my country after the Spring Festival. The legend is to commemorate Chang'e.
The Mid-autumn Festival symbolizes reunion and beauty. On this day, the family can live together happily and feel the beauty of family happiness. The greatest happiness in the world is this. Therefore, the Mid-Autumn Festival will become the second largest traditional festival after the Spring Festival, because both adhere to the same concept: family reunion.

There are many activities during the Mid-Autumn Festival, and different regions will also have local special activities. Now we will introduce two important activities: viewing the moon and eating moon cakes.
It is said that the moon is the closest to the earth on this night, and the moon is the largest and brightest, so there has been a custom of feasting and admiring the moon since ancient times. On this night, people look up to the bright bright moon in the sky and naturally look forward to a family reunion. Travelers who are far away from home also use this to pin their thoughts on their hometown and their relatives. Therefore, the Mid-Autumn Festival is also called the "Reunion Festival".

Moon cakes represent reunion. Moon cakes were originally used as offerings to worship the moon god. Later, people gradually regarded the Mid-Autumn Moon viewing and tasting moon cakes as a symbol of family reunion. Moon cakes symbolize a great reunion. People regard them as festive food, offering sacrifices to the moon and gifts to relatives and friends. Up to now, eating moon cakes has become an essential custom for the Mid-Autumn Festival in all parts of China. On this day, people eat moon cakes to show "reunion".

The Mid-Autumn Festival is also the season of autumn harvest in China. All kinds of melons and fruits will ripen. People share these delicacies that symbolize the fruits of labor, such as pears and apples, in the form of family reunions.
